Prioritizing an original repertoire for harp and guitar, the Duo GuitHarmony has explored works by contemporary composers for this formation, with varied languages and textures, capable of expressing with great beauty and lyricism the sonic and timbral potential of the two instruments. The impressionistic brilliance of the harp and the captivating sound of the guitar unite in a dynamic interaction of contrasts and sonic complementarities, giving rise to a "new and great stringed instrument" that invites a true sensory journey, capable of transporting the listener to dreamlike and evocative scenarios, creating an atmosphere of pure musical magic.
The Duo GuitHarmony has challenged several composers to write for this ensemble, which still has so much musical potential to explore. Diptyca by André M. Santos is the first piece written and dedicated to the Duo GuitHarmony.
